An L.A. native, Araceli Castillo grew up immersed in the arts and began to volunteer at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as a teenager. The more she observed the impact of the programs on the community, the more she realized that she wanted to help make these experiences accessible to all. She combined her commitment to service with her analytical skills by completing her bachelor of science in business administration at Georgetown University. After working in LACMA’s Education Department for six years, Araceli transitioned into fund development for MUSE/IQUE, a live music organization in Pasadena. Her efforts helped the team exceed its financial goals for two consecutive years as well as reach thousands of new supporters. Araceli initially joined artworxLA as a Development and Marketing Intern, and she returned in 2019 as Development Manager to support the organization’s fundraising goals.
