Brigid McCaffrey

Brigid McCaffrey makes films that portray individual relationships to the land and describe the experiences of outsiders. She has been teaching filmmaking and photography in the Los Angeles area for the past decade, working with youth, teens, college students, and military veterans. Previously, she lead the film program at Venice Arts, and recently has taught at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the California State Summer School for the Arts, and Occidental College. Her work has exhibited internationally at venues including the Whitechapel Gallery, The Hammer Museum, MOCA, Centre for Contemporary Arts Afghanistan, and Project 88 Mumbai and screened at festivals including BAFICI, Cinéma du Réel, DocLisboa, NYFF-Projections, Rotterdam, Torino, and Arkipel-Jakarta. McCaffrey received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
