Effective September 21, 2013

This document explains the privacy practices and policies (the “Privacy Policy”) of The HeArt Project DBA artworxLA (“Owner”) with respect to the Web site for artworxLA (the “Site”). Except for an online registration form, Owner does not collect personal information from visitors to the Site and does not sell its mailing or contact lists to unaffiliated third parties. However, if you contact Owner or its affiliated entities or agents by email (through a hyperlink on the Site or otherwise), then Owner will have your name, email address, and any other information contained in the email message. Owner may share your email address and contact information with its selected third party business partners for community-related offers and other information Owner believes will be of interest to its clients. Owner may aggregate personally identifiable information and disclose such information in aggregate to advertisers for other marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations Owner will not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to personally identify you. You may remove your email address from the distribution lists of Owner or its business partners at any time by notifying us or the business partners in writing. As part of the normal operation and maintenance of this Site, Owner may collect and, in some cases, disclose information about you to vendors of Owner providing support for the Site, such as technicians, web designers and programmers. Personally identifiable information about you may also be used to improve Owner’s marketing and promotional efforts, to statistically analyze usage of the Site, to improve the content of the Site and to customize the Site’s content and layout. Owner believes using such information allows improvements to the Site and better tailoring to the needs of its customers and prospective customers. Owner and its affiliated entities and agents may use your first and last names, email address, your mailing address and telephone number to contact you from time to time.

While Owner takes commercially reasonable efforts to maintain a secure Site, Owner cannot guarantee the confidentiality of electronic communication. Transmissions to and from the Site (including email messages) are not encrypted, so you should carefully consider whether to submit sensitive information that you would not want made public, and recognize that your use of the Site is solely at your own risk.

The Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information Owner may collect from you. Owner does not have a process for you to review and request changes to your personally identifiable information that is collected through the Site. To the extent that you disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties, or to third parties who may appear on the Site, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of personal information you disclose to them. Owner encourages you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to third parties.

The Privacy Policy is subject to change at any time in the sole discretion of Owner. If there are material changes to the Privacy Policy, Owner will post those changes and update the effective date thereof. You should periodically revisit this page of the Site to familiarize yourself with Owner’s current policies. By visiting and continuing to use the Site, you are agreeing to be bound by the then-current policy. The policies and procedures described in the Privacy Policy replace all previous policies and procedures regarding this subject. Nothing in the Privacy Policy is intended to interfere with Owner’s ability to transfer all or part of its business or assets (including the Site, and any personal data collected as may be permitted at the time of the transfer with a revised Privacy Policy) to an affiliate or outside third party, at any time, for any reason.

If you have questions or comments about the Privacy Policy or the Site, please email us at info@artworxla.org.
