Amy Phillips has over 20 years of experience in the LA arts community. Her true passion is providing direct arts services to students in need. Where a student attends school should not have any correlation to their exposure to the arts. Phillips is the Founder of GIRL emPOWERment LA, an innovative program that provides a safe space to discuss issues of identity, self-esteem, role models and educational/professional goals through the lens of the arts and media. Phillips is an assemblage artist and her most recent works reflect the epidemic of gun violence in our country. Found objects inspire her creativity.
