artworxLA Celebrates its 22nd Annual Gala

Thank you all of our supporters, sponsors, students, staff and Honorees for making our 22nd Annual Gala a resounding success! This extraordinary event, held at the California Science Center on May 8, stood as a shining example of how the arts can powerfully engage our students’ imaginations, keep them on track to graduate high school, and envision a creative future.
Along with our students, we honored leaders in our community. This year's honorees included LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, Mirada, and Film director Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). Each voiced their support for the power of arts education.

artworxLA’s annual benefit raises funds and awareness for the organization’s comprehensive arts programs to combat Los Angeles’ high school dropout crisis.  This year’s event will include a dinner, a silent auction and a program featuring our students’ work.  Through the annual fundraiser, artworxLA seeks to build meaningful corporate partnerships that:

Support the program through financial contributions and fulfill corporate responsibility goals

Generate mutually beneficial publicity for the program and corporate partner

Act as a pipeline for future program board members and provide opportunities for corporate employee involvement

Provide in-kind donations to the program
