Cecilia Shares Her Story

Meet Cecilia, an artworxLA student who aspires to be a fashion designer. She says, "Before artworxLA, I was a miserable kid. I didn't know what I was going to be when I grew up. artworxLA came and opened my eyes. Now, I want to study fashion and photography at Otis College of Art and Design." Before joining artworxLA Cecilia struggled to stay engaged in school. artworxLA's arts programs connected her to our partners Art Center and Otis College of Art and Design, where she completed a 12-week fashion residency and a Summer of Art program. Cecilia is applying to college to pursue a career in fashion and start her own gender neutral fashion brand, Hot Cheesy Mess.
