artworxLA students explore sound progression with Icon Collective

Have you ever listened to music in an action sequence of a movie or video game and wondered how that track was produced? Last week, artworxLA students got to answer that question when they met with David Alexander of Icon Collective and Dylan Eiland, the creative DJ behind Le Castle Vania. This immersive 2-hour workshop enabled artworxLA students to grasp how beat and sound progressions created in Ableton software are used in film scores like John Wick and videogames like Quake II and Quake III Arena.  Thank you Dylan and David and sharing your creative experience with our students!
