Exploring Higher Education Opportunities at USC

Last week artworxLA’s Levels 2-4 students and alumni gathered for the Advanced Programs College Tour to explore and discuss higher education opportunities with artworxLA Teaching Artists, staff, university educators, and admissions representatives. Students began the day with a guided tour of the Mulyana: Modular Utopia exhibition at the USC Fisher Museum of Art, where they completed a collaborative sculpture activity before exploring USC’s campus and Village.

The group then traveled to ArtCenter College of Design’s Hillside Campus, receiving a presentation and guided tour of the school’s various arts majors and programs. At the conclusion of the event, several students expressed interest in applying to college. artworxLA Teaching Artists and staff will continue to mentor these students and connect them to the resources they need to help them on their career path.
