Are you ready for the new semester at artworxLA?

artworxLA is Back in Session

This semester artworxLA is proud to partner with the Fowler Museum at UCLA to explore how our students can approach healing from multiple worldviews through the arts. As students express themselves and create their own stories of healing throughout the semester, they will experiment with a diversity of art forms to develop a personal way of storytelling. Their work will be in dialogue with the exhibition Myrlande Constant: The Work of Radiance, the first U.S. museum exhibition devoted to the work of a Haitian female contemporary artist.

Stay tuned to our newsletter and social media accounts as we share our students' progress throughout the semester, and join us in-person in late May for our students' culminating presentations at the Fowler Museum.

This Week in Creativity at Culver City High School

This week in creativity, we're visiting Culver City High School! Last semester, Teaching Artist Jovanna Briscoe and Workshop Coordinator Loren LeBlanc worked with students to create pieces using a variety of tools, including watercolors, colored pencils and markers.

Your support has ensured our ability to provide sequential arts programming to under-resourced students across LA County's alternative education institutions, empowering them to pursue creative career pathways. Click the button below to see how you can support artworxLA today.
