Katherine

Katherine joined artworxLA programs at Vista Continuation in the Winter of 2017. After completing her first foundation level workshop, Katherine climbed our academic ladder and took part in our Advanced Programs in Visual Arts with Jenna Gibson at ArtCenter College of Design and Leadership Development with Sol Alvarez at artworxLA. In the summer of 2018, she received a scholarship to take part in Otis College of Art and Design’s Summer of Art. This 4-week pre-college summer intensive art program connected Katherine to creative teens and professionals artist from across LA. In this program, Katherine honed her creative skill in figure drawing and illustration while exploring creative careers in illustration. In the Spring of 2019, she joined artworxLA and LA Times Hollywood Insider in a cross-learning experience with like-minded high school students from LA County. Through this experience, she grew her network of artist cohorts.
